Here’s a fair question: does a commission software company get to take Labor Day off?
Turns out — yes. On Monday, September 7th, our office will be closed. No live support, no one picking up the phone, no one answering emails until Tuesday morning. We’re taking the day, same as you hopefully are.
And that’s actually the whole point of this post.
Labor Day is supposed to be a day off. But if you’re an agency owner or an office manager, “day off” often comes with an asterisk — because somewhere in the back of your mind is a running list of everything that’s still waiting for you. The statement that needs importing. The splits that need double-checking. The report someone’s going to ask for first thing Tuesday morning. A lot of agencies don’t actually get to unplug, because the second they do, the backlog starts building.
That’s the exact problem Commission Tracker was built to remove.
While you’re at the barbecue, the software isn’t taking the day off. Import Carrier Statement is still ready to pull in whatever your carriers send, mapped and ready the second you’re back. Agent Commission Split Table AutoFill is still quietly assigning the right splits to any new policy that gets entered, learning from every correction you’ve ever made. Your data is still backing up automatically, every 60 minutes, whether anyone’s watching or not. None of it needs you standing over it to keep working correctly.
That’s the difference between software that requires babysitting and software that actually does the job. You shouldn’t have to choose between running an accurate commission operation and having an actual holiday weekend. The whole reason to automate the repetitive parts of this business isn’t to look modern — it’s so that a long weekend can just be a long weekend.
So enjoy Labor Day. Don’t check your email. Don’t think about the carrier statement sitting in your inbox. It’ll still be there Tuesday, and so will we — rested, caught up, and ready to help if you need anything.
Happy Labor Day, from all of us at Commission Tracker.
